Spring on the East Coast

My wife and I returned from a rather long trip to Washington DC, Long Island NY, Connecticut and Pennsylvania for a combination of family functions, photography, and work. I would say that about 2/3 of the trip represented cold, cloudy and rainy weather. However there were enough sunny days for me to obtain some decent images.

Arizona Spring and Photoshop CS5

Just got back from a trip to Scottsdale to see family and a chance to enjoy some warmer weather. While down there, I had a chance to drive up to Bartlett Reservoir and photograph some of the Sonora Desert wildflowers that were in full bloom. Thanks to the Desert USA web site and their wildflower report, I would never have known to search this area. As it was, getting to Bartlett Reservoir was an hours drive form the family’s place

Pennsylvania Winter

Since my wife joined the Board of Trustee’s for Wilson College, the women’s college she attended in south Central Pennsylvania, I have the advantage of tagging along with her  three times a year. This year found us slotted between two storm systems. I was hopping  for snow but we got  warm weather. One sunny day I was able to get out and get some nice images of the country, barns and some horses.

Lighthouses of Oregon and Norther California

A recent driving trip to the San Francisco Bay area gave us the opportunity to visit the Northern California coast. Although time was limited and the weather not necessarily cooperative I was able to capture some nice images of the Cape Cabrillo Light just north of Mendocino, Ca.
Here are a couple of those images along with a highlight of others of the Oregon and Northern California Lighthouses captured over the last several years.

"Was it real or Memorex?"

The other evening I return to Queen Ann Hill’s Kerry Park in Seattle to update my images of the Space Needle, the Seattle Center, downtown Seattle and Mt. Rainier. Seattle has experienced considerable development over the last several years; about the same age as the last images I took from this spot so it was time for an update of the Seattle skyline.
